Jun Jin began the next stage in his career with a move into solo music, and so far, the reviews are very much in his favor. We met him today at radio program DJ-ed by Park Jung-ah. Jun Jin looked healthy today, but he had recently visited the hospital for physical exhaustion from an incredibly hectic schedule. Jun Jin is famous for his extravagant dance techniques and his skillful approach in the choreography of Shinhwa's dance music. When he announced that he was going to fly solo, the majority of the public believed that he would break out with dance music. They were wrong! Jun Jin introduced a soulful ballad, instead.
The 6-members of Shinhwa debuted in 1998, and without a moment's rest, their popularity has soared across Asia, not to mention in Korea. From the beginning, Jun Jin has stood out from the group for his fluent rap and solid dance routines. He keeps everyone on their toes! Ever since their debut, Shinhwa has made sure to target an overseas audience as well. Wherever they go, they're recognized easily by fans - a TRUE sign of Hallyu stardom! Soon enough, with Jun Jin's new solo career, he will probably recognized as an individual artist, on TOP of the fame from being a Shinhwa member.
Jun Jin hasn't just been hard at work in music. He broadened his horizons with a major part in a TV production. In 2005, he made his acting debut with "Let's Go to the Beach". Jun Jin molded himself into "Jang Tae-hyun," the charismatic hotel president with an elite past.
Even amongst the other singers of the music industry, Shinhwa is known for being extremely good friends with each other and as close as family. That's not surprising considering all the time that the members spend with each other! But like every other family, the Shinhwa family has their share of problems. He's actually not such a tough-guy after all! He's human just like the rest of us - he loves his family, he loves his friends, and once in a while, he'll have a drink to relieve his stress! In his interviews, we also noticed a strong pride and affection for his job. No matter how tiring and stressful it was - he loved to sing.
This year, 2007, Jun Jin already has big plans scheduled... A new TV drama, and following the release of his first full-length solo album, a solo concert!
